payroll is showing as Pending/Resume Scheduled payroll after finished

I finished payroll today, and the payroll checks have been printed.  I am now getting a message to resume scheduled payroll.  How do I get rid of it?

I know how to get rid of the pending status of your payroll, @steph6.

Let me guide you on how it works in QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT).

We can revert the paychecks if there are changes or new updates installed. Thus, it'll undo the payroll data before the updates.

I'll be glad to guide you on how:

  1. Click Pay Employee from the Employees menu.
  2. From there choose Scheduled Payroll or Unscheduled Payroll.
  3. Select Resume Scheduled Payroll. You’ll see some employees’ names highlighted in yellow. These are the employees that have had changes.
  4. From there, right-click on the employee name that’s highlighted in yellow.
  5. Tick Revert Paychecks.

You can learn more about this process of saving or reverting your paychecks by checking out this article: Save or revert paychecks in QuickBooks Desktop Payroll.

You can browse this resource if you need reports to track and review your employees' payroll transactions: Customize payroll and employee reports.

I'm still all ears if you need further assistance with your payroll-related tasks. Just add your reply below, and I'll circle back to help you.
