Payroll shows this error how to fix this

Thanks for sharing your concern in the QuickBooks Community and adding a screenshot, @SatyaR.

I'll help you fix the error so you can get back to your business.

Base on the screenshot you've provided, the system requires you to update the program. That way, you'll get the newest payroll tax table in QuickBooks Desktop Payroll to stay compliant with paycheck calculations.

It's also recommended to update your tax table every time you pay your employees. Here's how:

  1. Go to the Employees menu and select Get Payroll Updates.
  2. Click the Download Entire Update checkbox.
  3. Select Download Latest Update. An informational window appears when the download is complete.

To make sure you get the full functionality of payroll updates, let's update QBDT to its latest release

In case you're still getting the same error, run the Verify and Rebuild Data tools in QBDT. These tools will help us identify the most commonly known data issues within a company and fix them.

Should you have any follow-up questions or concerns, don't hesitate to post again here in the Community or leave a comment on this thread. Take care and have a good one.

also try to setup the payroll again but it got the error also adding the SS.

Already repair the company file with QB repair tool and also done the rebuild the data as well but no error found.

Payroll shows this error how to fix this

Thanks for visiting us again here in the Community, @SatyaR.

I appreciate you for following the steps shared by my colleague and sharing a screenshot of your concern. I'd like to ensure that you'll be able to get past the error that you received so you can utilize QuickBooks smoothly.

Before we start, make sure to update QuickBooks Desktop to the latest release and create a backup of your company file. Then, let's start fixing this error by running the QuickBooks file doctor. This can help resolve common errors in the system and refreshes your data in the program.

Here's how:

  1. Close your QuickBooks.
  2. We recommend you download the most recent version (1.4.0.0) of the QuickBooks Tool Hub. Save the file somewhere you can easily find it
  3. Open the file you downloaded (QuickBooksToolHub.exe).
  4. Follow the on-screen steps to install and agree to the terms and conditions.
  5. When the install finishes, double-click the icon on your Windows desktop to open the tool hub.

Once done, you can proceed with performing the Quick Fix my File to determine if there are issues on your company file.

Here's how:

  1. From the tool hub, select the Company File Issues tab.
  2. Select Quick Fix my File.
  3. Press on OK when it completes and launch your QuickBooks.

If the problem continues after performing these steps, you may proceed with the troubleshooting step number 3 found in this link: Learn how to use File Doctor to fix company file issues in QuickBooks Desktop.
