Hi there, deal1tc.

I can help you fix your payroll concern.

The wages showing on the Profit and loss report depend on the report date and pay date of the paycheck. So if the date of the August wages is September, it'll show on the Profit and loss report for the month of September.

To verify, I recommend checking the pay date of the paycheck. To do this, you can utilize the Paycheck history report. It'll also show you an overview of past paychecks, including payment method and paycheck status.

To run the report, here's how:

  1. In the left menu, click Reports.
  2. Choose the Standard tab.
  3. Go to the Payroll section and select Paycheck History.
  4. Set the pay date.
  5. Click Apply.

For more details in viewing info about your business and employees, you can read this article for the detailed steps: Run payroll reports. It also contains a list of payroll reports that you can run.

For future help, check out this article to help you pay and file payroll taxes: Pay and file payroll taxes and forms in QuickBooks Online Payroll.

Don't hesitate to let me know if there's anything else I can do to help. I'm always here to assist. Have a nice day!

It appears that the payroll check history shows August but with no check numbers only adjustments, also there are several things that are not correct such as:

What about Kim's July payroll check, I gave that information to you - Gross pay 101.00 net pay 90.00 check number 6695 7-14 -23

July's profit and loss does not show any wages for Kim in the report.

what about August payroll checks for Kim, these look like the net pay has changes and again these wages do not show in August profit and loss statement.

I also did not get any response for my w2 how they get generated, but I want to make sure that all of my payroll is correct, I need help on all of the above concerns.

On the other hand, preparing and filing W-2 depends on whether you have QBO automatically pay your taxes and file your forms. There’s nothing you need to perform and we'll file the form for you and send copies to your employees if they opt for a paper copy.

If you’re set up to pay and file electronically through QuickBooks, you can open this article on how the said form gets generated and follow the steps below to e-file your W-2sFile your W-2 forms.
