QBO Payroll Taxes

QBO Full Service Payroll - Is there a setting that will have payroll taxes record in the bank register when payroll is processed--instead of having it wait to record on the date it actually draws from the bank account?  (It did that with QB Desktop, and we could see ahead to what would be drawn for payroll taxes.)  Thanks!

QBO Payroll Taxes

Hi there, @NumbersByNelson.

There can be a setting to record the payroll taxes in the bank register without having to wait for QuickBooks to post it on the payment date.

You can contact our Full-Service Payroll Support team to change this setting. From there, they can pull up your account in a secure environment.

Here's how to reach support:

  1. Sign in to QuickBooks Online.
  2. Go to Help (?).
  3. Select Contact Us.
  4. Enter your concern, then select Let's talk.
  5. Choose to start a Chat or get a Callback.

You can also chat with our QuickBooks Full Service Payroll Service through this link.

You can always post anything else here or share with us your experience after you reach out to them. I'm always around to help.

QBO Payroll Taxes

Hello and thank you for your response.

My client contacted Full-Service Payroll support (and spent more than an hour).  The support person said it should record in the register as soon as payroll is processed, and it is very rare for this to happen.  (And to contact support if it happens again.)  But it's not a one-time thing.  Is it possible the support person has access to a setting but does not know it?  Thanks.

Our QuickBooks Full-Service Payroll Support team is well-trained in the guidelines on fixing payroll taxes.

Since this needs to pull up your account information, I'd recommend contacting them again to make a follow-up on the issue. You can visit this link and enter your information to start a chat session: https://help.quickbooks.intuit.com/prechats/offerings/QBFSP-CHAT/15022/view

For future reference, you can visit our QuickBooks Online Payroll Full Service Hub. We have available articles that will help and answer your payroll and taxes questions.

Feel free to post again if you have additional inquiries. I'd be here to help some more.
