Quickbooks Online Payroll

I understand the frustration of not being able to use your payroll service, @frank7. Thus, I'm here to further help you migrate your QuickBooks Full Service Payroll data to QuickBooks Online Payroll. 

You can migrate the data by doing these steps:

1. Navigate to the Export Setup page. Then, in the Home tab, select Want to export to QuickBooks? Set up export preferences.
2. Next, choose QuickBooks Online and click Continue.
3. The system will look for your QuickBooks Online (QBO) account.
4. Once your account was found, click the User ID with primary or company admin access and select Continue. If there's no account found, select Sign in with a different User ID.
5. Then, sign in to your QBO account.
6. Pick the QBO company to connect with and click Continue.
7. From the screen showing a Good Job! message, select Continue.

The next step is to map your Chart of Accounts. For the detailed guide, please proceed to the Map your Chart of Accounts section of this article: Setup Export of Intuit Full Service Payroll Data to QuickBooks Online. 

Once finished, you're now ready to send your payroll transactions to QBO. To do so, simply click the Export to QuickBooks link after each payroll run.  When the process is completed, you'll see a confirmation showing that all the payroll information has been exported. 

You can also run several payroll reports to keep track of your employee information and your company's finances. Each report has corresponding data that they display, you can also export or print them to have a handy copy that you can use as a reference.

This is not what Frank was asking. These are simply directions to export journal entry info per payroll transaction into QBO from Intuit Full Service Payroll. 

What Frank is talking about is the cryptic message in Intuit Full Service Payroll which wants us to try to migrate all of our existing payroll DATA into QBO Payroll because they say Intuit Payroll is being discontinued.  I have been loathe to take any steps, and now after reading this and a bunch of other messages, I thank god I have not yet put any sort of migration into action. 

I'm having the same problem and I found that by clicking the CHANGE button below, you can setup to export to QBO instead of desktop.  I can't try it yet because my new QBO account isn't set up yet, but I hope it works.
