Hello,
when I sync all my service items are archived, i don't know what is causing this. Another issue that I have is that our employees were vendors before as we use ADP and we were importing their timecards as vendor. Now we decided to create employees in Quickbooks and we added the e at the end of their last name to make their profiles different from the vendor profile. The sync is not working now, we can't get the timecards imported and everything is a problem now. we have spent hours, days with the Quickbooks time and Quickbooks Desktop trying to see what is happening but nothing fix these issues. can please someone help me. we are at that point that are considering move to a different time clock software. We have been trying everything with not luck. Also if we have to move to a different timeclock software can someone recommend a good one that have a similar dynamic as QB time?

hello
Thank for your answer. so do I have to mapping these service items even if I already mapped by employee? we can't export the timecards to QB Desktop do you think is because we haven't mapped the service items?
thank you, we really need help with this. I contact QBT team everyday with not luck.
I appreciate you for getting back to us, @MariaX.

Yes, you got it correctly. You'll need to map your payroll items in QB Time and assign the appropriate item type. Each of your employee must have at least one item mapped before it can be exported to QBDT.

Thank you. yes I've mapped all employees with payroll items, but her suggestion was to map the services items as well. Do I have to map both? service items and employees? please see her answer.
thanks

Hey MariaX,
Thanks for reaching back out! There is no need to set up your service item. I was able to look into your account and I do see service items available at the moment. Are you still experiencing issues with service items showing up?
As far as exporting time, everything looks right but I can see that the timesheets aren't going over. Let's go ahead and try exporting from the Approvals report to see if that makes a difference and this will certainly aid in troubleshooting further.
To do so:
From there, check the Sync Log by opening the QuickBooks menu at the top of the app and selecting View Sync Log. We'd love to hear if you see any errors here and then tackle that situation. Talk to you soon!
I don't have the option to sync from there. what I have to do? when I click export approved time it shows me how to export time to quckbooks but i don't have the option to do it.
Thanks for sharing that. Have you tried connecting through the Web Connector for QuickBooks Desktop?. If not, let's try syncing through there.
For reference, this article is very resourceful. Let me know how it goes and if you were able to get through. I will be around!
yes that is how we connect. with the Web connector. probably that is the issue so i would like to try the other way. our error is QWC 1042 timed out, so i guess the sync gets broken at some pointe. bc it is importing new jobs, services items, new employees, it is not exporting the timecards to QBD
Thanks for letting me know. There could be a few reasons for this error, but we’d love to have someone reach out to work with you directly to find the root cause. Don't hesitate to reach back out here if you have further questions about this or anything else related to QB Desktop and QB Time. Take care!
