State payer id not on 1099 QBO

Hi,

When I go to print the 1099-nec, the state payer id number is not showing up on the form. It is recorded in the system step one company info.  Any ideas of how to fix this?

thanks

State payer id not on 1099 QBO

It’s good to see you here in the Commnity, @jeannettepizarr. I’ll give you some insight about 1099 printing in QuickBooks Online.

Your web browser can cause your printer to print your 1099 forms erroneously at times. We suggest you use Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox. You can follow these steps if the issue persists.

For Google Chrome:

  1. Select the Three vertical dots in the upper-right corner of Chrome. After that, go to Settings.
  2. Then go to Site settings, then Privacy and Security.
  3. Then choose PDF documents under Additional content settings.
  4. Toggle to download PDF files instead of automatically opening them in Chrome.
  5. Reprint your 1099s if necessary.

Another option is to print them on Mozilla Firefox:

  1. Open Firefox and go to the Menu, then Options.
  2. Go to the General
  3. Look for Portable Document Format in the Applications area.
  4. Select your PDF viewer from the menu in the Action column.
  5. Try printing your 1099s once more.

You can utilize this article for more information and a guide about printing 1099 forms.

I've also included this IRS article for more information on the 1099-NEC: Instructions for Forms 1099-MISC and 1099-NEC. It includes the entire set of instructions as well as the most up-to-date information on the form.

State payer id not on 1099 QBO

Thank you for the suggestions, unfortunately neither worked.

State payer id not on 1099 QBO

after 47 minutes online with QBO support, QBO does not print the state payer id. Only desktop versions do.  Hopefully this saves someone else time.  NJ has required this for a few years now, I'm surprised that QBO can't get this feature working especially since they have the field available on the 1099 set up.
