Hi, Hilary78, and welcome to the Community!

This space is a great resource for help with all things QuickBooks. I'd be glad to offer some info re-aligning the way your checks are printing.

Here's how to use the fine-tune alignment:

1. Click the No, continue setup at the bottom right of the print checks setup window, twice until you get to Fine-tune alignment page.

2. Drag the grid inside the large square to the place where it appears on your printout.

3. Print a test copy to check the adjustment. Pro-tip: use a blank sheet of paper for the test and hold it over the check stock so you don't waste actual checks. Continue to fine-tune until the alignment matches.

4. Select View preview and print sample in the lower left, and choose Print icon at the top right.

5. Choose Finish Setup when your sample’s alignment looks good.

The following article provides additional details about this process and how to apply the changes you've made: https://quickbooks.intuit.com/learn-support/en-us/write-checks/align-how-your-checks-print/00/185561.

You may also want to visit this link that deals with troubleshooting printing pay checks, pay stubs and forms.

I'm only a post or comment away if you have any other questions. Take care.
