Hello,

You cannot do that with QBO Payroll.  1 EIN per payroll subscription.

If you are all 1 EIN but have different locations, I suggest using QBO Plus or Advanced so you can track locations.  Also with a single QBO and payroll subscription you can still assign employees to different work locations.

This way you are only paying for 1 subscription to QBO and 1 payroll subscription.

Thank you for your reply. Using the option you recommend, can I run separate Profit and Loss analysis for each location?

You're welcome, @Jim Rollo.

Yes, you can run a separate Profit and Loss report for each location by customizing it. Then, export the report from your other location to MS Excel to view them at the same time. Let me show you how:

  1. Go to the Reports menu in your QuickBooks Online (QBO) account.
  2. Type in and enter Profit and Loss reports by Location.
  3. Click the Customize button to personalize the report to your preferred data and click Run report.
  4. Select the Export icon then click the Export to Excel option. 1.JPG
  5. Then, customize the report again for the other location.

It’s also a great practice to memorize the report to save its current settings. This way, you can access the reports any time without going to the customization process again.

Let me know if you have any other concerns or questions running reports in QuickBooks. I’ll be around ready to help and back you up. Have a good one!
