Hi, @userkmbookkeeper. I'll help you with tracking Simple IRA contributions in QuickBooks Online (QBO).
Without payroll, you can enter your transactions through journal entries. Before that, you have to set up your accounts through the Chart of Accounts.
- Click on Accounting on the left pane, then go to the Chart of Accounts.
- Select New, then fill in the details.
- Tap on Save and Close.
Then enter your payroll manually.
- Select Journal entry from the +New icon.
- Fill in the information.
- Hit Save.
I highly recommend consulting with an accountant while doing the process. This way, they can guide you and suggest the specific accounts to use for your payroll and contributions.
