Is changing the funding time for Desktop versions ever going to be available? It's only 2 days, but I still get complaints from some workers.

With QuickBooks Online Payroll, some companies are on a 5-day funding time to ensure their direct deposits are safe. This is to protect you from fraud and ensures you have the proper amount of money to move out of your account.
If you use QuickBooks Desktop Payroll Assisted, you have a Next-day (1-day) funding time. This means your workers are paid the next banking day after you send your payroll to us.
If you’re unable to see any of the information, I suggest contacting our Assisted Payroll Support Team. One of our specialists will collect personal data to open your account. Then, send a request for the Next day direct deposit for your subscription.

We use the Enhanced Payroll system. My understanding is that the only option is a 2 day hold before funds are transferred. Correct?

Since you've mentioned a Desktop version above, it seems you're using the QuickBooks Desktop Payroll Enhanced. With this, yes, you have a 2-day funding time. This means your workers are paid 2 banking days after you send your payroll to us.

If the workers are unable to receive the payments within the 2 banking days, I recommend contacting our QuickBooks Payroll Support Team. They have the tools to pull up your account in a safe environment and investigate the cause of why the amount is still not deposited on the employee's account.
