Hello, I just got off the phone with a Level 1 payroll expert. He tried but was not able to help. In theory a business consultant will be calling me.
While I wait, here is the situation.
In Nov 2021, our QBS payroll online Core system stopped working. We ended up doing rough calculations of employees' checks and paid them with paper ones for 2 + months. Many, many lengthy calls later, Payroll Core is working as of mid January.
Here is my question. In order to get our QBO records in order, we completed payroll correction worksheets for 3 employees' 7 paychecks. The Payroll correction worksheets had all the tax and benefit details for both er and employee on each paycheck.
It took 4 weeks, but the adjusted paychecks have been entered into our QBo by a payroll tax expert. Here is the issue. I don't fully understand how to reconcile these adjusted checks to the paper checks that were written during the time period. I will also tell you that no taxes were paid during this period. Please give me a tutorial on adjusted payroll checks! I can tell that no QBO account- whether a wage account or a payroll tax liability account has any entries from these adjusted payroll checks. I thank you very much for getting through this. Also, it's been 25 minutes and I'm darn sure no business consultant will be calling me.
Hello 568SKH!
Let me assist you with payroll adjustments.
I understand that you need to correct your payroll data to include those checks that were processed manually. Please note that it depends on your request if you'd like these adjustments to show on your register. Our Payroll Correction Team has the option to sync these adjustments into your Chart of Accounts.
If these adjustments aren't synced, they will only reflect on your payroll forms and payroll-related reports but not on other financial reports. You'll want to contact our Support Team again and request to sync these adjustments so you can reconcile them.
In addition, if the previous representative already requested this for you, please be certain that one from our Payroll Correction Team will reach out to you once the request has been completed.

Keep on posting here if you have other concerns. I'll respond as soon as I can.
Hi Alex V.
I thank you for your explanation. Another question: If QBO payroll syncs the 49 payroll adjustment checks so that all payroll related expenses are live in QBO (and I can create year end financials for the Board), how do you keep the system from not paying out the net pay of each of these adjusted payroll check to the specified employee? All employees were given paper checks written for only net pay during the period when QBO payroll Core would not work. I thank you in advance for your response. I hope I made myself understood.
Thanks for coming back to the Community, 568SKH.
