I'm wondering the same thing. I have updated and no one seems to be able to give me an answer so my local taxes will be off by 1%. Very frustrating.

I have received notice from my State agency it went from 0.13 to 0.14%. I have tried to go in and change the rate but QBs tells me that I am unable to edit it. I called support and they didn't know what to do either. I called an accountant who informed me that they believe it has to be fixed on your end, but that didn't work either. It's very frustrating.
Hi there, @GYanni.
Allow me to verify some information and help you from there.

Please feel free to leave a comment below if you're referring to something else or if you have any other questions. Have a good day.
Hi Mark. It is not a sales tax. It is our Maine Unemployment Assessment Rate. It is the only payroll liability that I am unable to go in and change or edit.
When I get to the part where it indicates "company rate" it will not allow me to make any change to it indicating that it is set by the State tax table - which obviously has changed. It makes no sense to me why this particular item will not allow me to edit it. When I spoke with an agent I was told they didn't know either and that is where it was left because I couldn't understand the Rep.
Thanks for joining us here, @GYanni.
I'll share some information about changing the rates. You should be able to change rates in QBO. In your case, you'll want to perform some steps to fix the issue. Sometimes the browser you're using is full of frequently accessed page resources that can cause unusual responses. You'll want to access your account using a private browser or an incognito window.
Here's how:
Once you're logged in, change the rate again. If you're able to update it. Go back to your default browser and clear your browser's cache to speed up the process and refresh the account.
If you're getting the same result, you'll want to Contact Payroll Support so we can create a ticket for you and investigate further.

I suppose if I were an on line user that might work, but I only use 1 desktop computer in our office so I don't think clearing my cache is going to fix that issue.
I did contact payroll support. 1. They couldn't figure it out and 2. the person who spoke to me was clearly not trained as she kept putting me on long holds and then would come back and say I don't know...I'm not sure.

I'll be sure to keep an eye out for your reply and look forward to chatting with you soon. Take care!
I have Quickbooks online, I have received my new rate for 2022. 1.20 down to 1.10. When I go to where you would make any adjustments (Settings, payroll settings, and then to edit California) I can adjust my SUI and my ETT, but I can not see, nor adjust the SDI rate. Where do I adjust the rate or is it done automatically by QB?
I want to make sure this is taken care of for you, levittac.
QuickBooks Online automatically calculates the Disability Insurance (SDI) according to your state's rules where the rate and wage base limits are defined by them. Our program is compliant with your state rules and we're using the default rate. This is the reason why you're unable to adjust the SDI rate.
You can also check the article about California Payroll Tax Compliance to ensure compliance with your state regulations.

Hi Charles. I'm here in Maine and QB support last week confirmed that it has not been updated for our state and a check of my payroll items to edit confirms this morning that it is still in flux. I am unable to edit it and QB has not updated it. Just FYI
