Hi @justing,
Right now, QuickBooks Online Payroll doesn't file the form DR 1093 electronically to the state of Colorado. You'll need to print the form and file this manually. I suggest you send us feedback so we can add this filing in the future by going to the Gear icon and choose Feedback.
Let me know if you have other concern. I'm always happy to help.
Then someone at Intuit should remove the following from your form instructions:
Method 1: Online Payroll Electronic Services
If you enroll in Electronic Services, we can file and pay your withholding tax on your behalf.
Enrollment is quick and you’ll be able to submit the payment. To do so:
1. Enroll by following the steps provided under the Electronic Services selection for
Colorado state taxes.
2. Once your enrollment is approved, follow the steps in the Electronic Services
selection to submit your Colorado state tax filing.
Your form will be automatically archived for your records.
Can you report that?
Thanks for pointing that out, justing.
I’ll make sure to pass on this message. It’d be helpful as well if you send us feedback as it goes directly to the product engineers. Just click the Gear icon at the top and select Feedback.
Please continue on posting here if you have other questions about QuickBooks.
I reported it to Feedback as well.
Hi there, @justing.
Thank you for getting back to us here in the Community and for sending product feedback straight to our product developers/engineers.
Your suggestion would definitely be a big help in letting our developers/engineers identify which product features are most helpful to our customers.
I'll also send feedback on my end. As always, don't hesitate to add a comment/post here in the Community if you have any other QuickBooks and payroll concerns. I'm always here to help!
Same problem here. But when I try to print the 1093 it prints as do not file, form not final! like how are you supposed to file it then?
Thanks for sharing this concern, @Janka.
The error appeared because the IRS has the draft form. The 1093 return should be available in QuickBooks as soon as the IRS has finalized it. Once the updates are ready, we'll remove the watermark.
Let me know if you have other questions on this. I'll be right here to help you out. Take care!
Any idea when the form will be finalized? And I don't think the IRS has anything to do with a Colorado form.
