Hi there, clmezz.

This isn't the kind of experienced I want you to feel about the pricing in QuickBooks Online. I'll provide information about the price increase in QuickBooks.

For now, we didn't receive any updates about the price increase. There are several reasons the number of your monthly billing increases. Either you subscribed to payroll or you had a promotional discount that has expired. Subscribing to payroll has an additional charge since it is an add-on service. You can check our products and pricing through this link: https://quickbooks.intuit.com/pricing/

I can see that you already contacted our QuickBooks Support Team. However, I suggest reaching them again. They can pull up your account to check the reason behind the charge or the price increase that you received.

Please check these articles on how to manage your payment and plan info in QuickBooks Online and to change your billing schedule for your plan:

Please know that you're always welcome to post if you have any other concerns. Wishing you and your business continued success.

So I literally was on the line for 2 hours and the rep cannot tell me why the steep increase other than it was a new business discount - but I have been a customer for 11 years.  The other solution offered was to switch to monthly but I would lose all my data.  So why can't intuit adjust the price on my current plan?  Or, give me a rebate/refund.

I understand that your concern needed and deserved a clear response, @clmezz.

As mentioned by my colleague @ChristieAnn, it could be that the promotional discount has expired already. Furthermore, you may have an add-on service like payroll that is added to your charge. For more information about our products and pricing in QuickBooks Online, please refer to this link: https://quickbooks.intuit.com/pricing/.

Since your concern is sensitive and requires confidential information, It is still best to contact our Customer Care Team again. I know you already contacted them, however, they have the tools to open your account. They can trace your billing and subscription in our system to investigate and clarify the pricing increase you experienced.

Additionally, if they offered a monthly subscription, they can also guide you through the steps of how to keep all your data. This way, you will not lose all the information in your account. If you wish to have a refund request, our representatives are the ones who can process this. They can explain the turn around time for a refund and the correct amount refunded.

You can contact them through the Help page.

Here's how:

  1. Sign in to your QuickBooks Online company.
  2. Go to the Help (?) menu at the top right.
  3. Enter your concern, then choose Let's talk.
  4. Click Contact Us.
  5. Select Start a chat or Get a callback from the next available expert.

I have now called Quickbooks 5 times.  Promised a supervisor was going to call me back,  her name is supposedly Consuela.  That was 8 days ago.  The overseas help is worthless and provides an awful customer experience.
