Why was I charged a fee of $3.88? That's more than 1% of $125...

I've come to share details about QuickBooks Payments fees when processing payments in QuickBooks Online (QBO), @anhonesthand.

When you have QuickBooks Payments, you can process payments right in QBO. Your customers can pay for their invoices by credit card or ACH bank transfer. Then, you'll be charged a fee (depends on how you process the payment) each time you process a transaction. To know the latest processing fee rates and pricing, you can refer to this article: What are the fees for QuickBooks Payments?.

To verify the details of the fee ($3.88) you accrue, I'd recommend logging into your QuickBooks Payments (Merchant Service Center) account from a web browser. Go to the Activity & Reports menu, then select Fees. Please see the screenshot below for your reference.

Once you're done and you still have clarifications, you can opt to contact our Payments Care team. They can securely verify your account and check all your charges for processing customer payments accordingly.

Also, when you take customer payments using QuickBooks Payments, deposit speeds depend on the product you're using and the type of payment. With this, I'm adding this article to guide you in checking when QuickBooks deposits customer payments into your bank account: Find out when QuickBooks Payments deposits customer payments.

Let me know if you have other concerns about taking online payments in QBO. You can drop a comment below, and I'll gladly help. Take care, and wishing you continued success.
