I'll share the details regarding your missing tax form concern, @c-l-walter.
Currently, the tax form 941 for Q2 2020 is unavailable in QuickBooks Online (QBO). This means we're still validating its accuracy and will be available once the preparation is complete.
We're working diligently with the IRS to provide the form timely. Thus, there isn't a need to contact them about this. We'll also send updates once the form is ready in the program through this article: Forms Unavailable In QBO. Aside from 941, you'll see the other forms that are unavailable at this time. I'd suggest bookmarking the site for easy access in the future.
Once resolved, you'll have the option to file the form electronically or manually. If e-filed, it will be automatically archived. Otherwise, you can archive it to save as your record in QBO.
We always want to make sure we're compliant with the federal rules and regulations. With this, I recommend visiting this website: IRS Payroll Tax Compliance. Just go to the Quarterly Form 941 (Filing) section under Tax Forms. It also has in-depth details about withholdings, unemployment, other taxes, e-file, pay, and employer registration.
You can count on me if there's anything else you need. Enjoy the rest of your day, @c-l-walter.
@RaymondJayO Using a private browser and/or clearing browser cache and history still does not allow me to view and e-file my Q2 Form 941. Every time I try to e-file it, I get "This form will be available soon. Please check back later". I've never had this issue arise before, and I'm concerned the glitch will not be repaired by the 7/31/2020 due date.
I hope you're doing fine, LAC1.
