Once you e-file the 1099 form, you can no longer make corrections. What you can do is print a new paper form to amend it. IRS requires pre-printed forms, and you can order them.

I also suggest using these IRS instructions when working directly with the IRS to make a manual amendment to your 1099 forms.

We did not file online, but mailed the forms to the IRS. Unfortunately, one person should not have received a 1099 NEC at all. We need to correct his 1099 NEC to show $0.
How do we correct this issue in QB Online? We will mail the corrected forms to the IRS.
