What report gives gross wages per check for a specified time period for one employee?

I'm reading your instructions to set the columns by pay period....and I don't have that option

4. On the Show Columns drop-arrow, select Two week option to appear the bi-weekly information.

Clearly, you don't understand the question. He wanted a detailed report for ONE specific employee. Not ALL employees in a summary.

You can use the report Payroll Summary report to see the gross wages and the total breakdown. What I'm going to show you now is how to filter it per employee.

Please follow these steps:

1. Go to Reports > Employees & Payroll > Payroll Summary. 
2. Click the Customize Report button and select Filters.
3. From the Search Filters field, search and select Name.
4. Under the Name drop-down, select the employee's name.
5. Tap OK.

Hi. I jump on this wagon. 

How do i select employee individually? 

I'm selecting Name in Filter section but cannot seem to get employees individually. 

A prompt response would be greatly appreciated

We simply need a few more steps so you can choose your employee when customizing the report. 

Here's how:

1. From the Search Filters field, look for and choose Name.
2. Under the Name drop-down, select Multiple names.
3. In the Search field, find and click your employees individually.
4. Once done, click OK.
5. Lastly, select OK to complete the process.

This report is for the paycheck date.  I need one for the pay period that includes all employees.

When you pull a payroll summary, you have to use the paycheck date,  I need a report that will show the pay period with the breakdown of hours/overtime/rate of pay, gross/net pay.  

I can pull a payroll register (excel report) but it does not break down over time hours and rate/pay.

There are several Excel reports available in QuickBooks to show all payroll data. That said, I recommend running the Summarize Payroll Data in Excel report. This contains Pay Type for earnings items, such as Regular and Overtime, Sick, and Vacation. Also, the pay period with the breakdown of hours, overtime, etc.

1. Under Reports from the QuickBooks menu, choose Employees & Payroll. Then, select Summarize Payroll Data in Excel.
2. If prompted by the Excel security warning, follow the directions to enable macros in Excel.
3. From the QuickBooks Payroll Workbook - Welcome screen, choose OK.
4. Enter a date range and select Get QuickBooks Data.
5. Choose the State Wage Listing tab at the bottom. Then, you can now see the data you need.

I have Quickbooks Desktop for Mac without payroll.  How do I get a gross wage report?
