When will the 940 tax form be updated to 2019?

We don't have a specific date on when the 940 tax form will be updated. However, we can expect that it will be updated before the tax season starts. It'll likely be on the third or last week of December 2019.

You'll also be notified about this within QuickBooks Desktop. Hence, you'll be recommended to update your payroll tax table and QuickBooks release versions.

After that, you'll be ready to file the 940 and other forms. You can also view these articles if you need more help in preparing and troubleshooting them:

Last year the 2019 940 form was  available on Jan 22, 2019

This year it's now three weeks later and the 2019 Fed Tax form 940 is still not posted.

My CPA needs this now to complete our taxes.
