Why is my auto tracker for mileage not working? I have Android version 11 on a Samsung Galaxy Note 10+.

I'm here to resolve your mileage tracking issue in QuickBooks Self-Employed, scottdmott-gmail.

Work trips are automatically recorded when tracking mileage.  I'd suggest following the steps below to ensure the app track this accurately.

To start, you'll have to update the app to the latest version. Here's how:

1. Go to Google Play Store.
2. On the home screen, select the Menu ☰ icon.
3. Select My apps & games.
4. In the Updates tab, find and select the QuickBooks Self-Employed app. If you don’t see the app in the Updates tab, it's already up to date.
5. Click Update.

Then, let's ensure the auto-tracking is on in QuickBooks Self-Employed.

1. Open the QuickBooks Self-Employed app.
2. Choose the Menu ☰ icon.
3. Go to the Mileage menu.
4. Select and turn on Auto-tracking.
5. If you're setting up tracking for the first time, click Allow and  Allow all the time. This lets the app run in the background.

Once done, we'll have to make sure the app keeps tracking trips when you're in slow-moving traffic.

1. From the Menu ☰ icon, choose Settings.
2. Select Mileage settings.
3. Turn on the Track slow speed trips setting.

Also, I'd suggest reviewing the general location settings on your phone. This is to ensure the app run in the background.

Aside from automatically tracking mileage, you can also add trips manually. This is helpful if you forgot your device on a trip or didn't turn it on.
