Work comp codes / classes being changed by QB from the Timesheet to the Paycheck / Paystub

We have about 100 employees that have all their work comp codes and classes saved in QB.  However,  many employees routinely bounce between different classes that have different work comp codes associated with them. QB seems to change the info (work comp or classes) from the time sheets when it creates the paychecks.  Which means if an employee worked on 20 different jobs in different classes & work comp codes, and the time sheet is entered in QB correctly, QB seems to override this and put them back in their saved classes and codes for their paycheck.  I need to manually go back to paychecks and edit to ensure they are job costed correctly.  Any ideas on how to fix?  I have deleted the info in a few employees and then it worked flawlessly.  However, some reports I need to do require work comp codes and classes.  Help?

We haven't had any reports of similar issues, Wright50266. Rest assured that I'm going to help you get this resolved.

The unexpected behavior may be caused by a corrupted file. We can run the Verify/Rebuild Data Utility Tool to detect the data damage. Here's how:

  1. Click File.
  2. Go to Utilities, then choose Verify Data.
  3. If QuickBooks detected no problems, there's no further action needed. If you receive a message, "Your data has lost integrity," the file is damaged. Just continue to Rebuild Data to correct the problem.
  4. When you Rebuild Data, you'll receive a message to back up your company file, just click OK. The utility starts as soon as the backup is finished.
  5. Click OK when you get the message "Rebuild has completed."
  6. Run Verify Data again to check for remaining data damage.

If the problem continues, use the QuickBooks File Doctor to fix your company data.
