I just want to share the articles with detailed steps for backing up and restoring files in case you need references, and for the benefit of other readers as well.

• Back up your QuickBooks Desktop company file 
  • Step 4 in the Back up your company file manually section guides users to choose a destination folder on their computer.
  • You can also check the section for backing up your payroll forms. They are not included in the process.
• Restore a backup of your company file

Another option that I want to recommend is copying the QuickBooks folder from your flash drive to your computer. This is much better because that main folder already contains the templates and forms that won't be included with the backup and restore processes.
