Condense file size in QB 2014 premier edition

If you are using QBD US version, you can run the Condense Data utility. Otherwise, you may purchase a 3rd party condense service.

I've got some insights to share about condensing your file in QuickBooks Desktop.

QuickBooks Desktop allows you to reduce your file’s overall size and still keep all your data and details. This is with the use of the Condense feature.

Know that being able to condense your file may vary on the version of QuickBooks that you're using. Older versions of QBDT tend to affect the system's performance.

To help you resize your file, you can check a third-party application that integrates with QuickBooks and help you in shrinking the data.

You may also consider upgrading your QuickBooks to the latest version, to enhance your customer experience. If you've decided to upgrade you may follow these steps below:

1. When you’re ready, select Upgrade Now.
2. Select Keep old version on my computer if you want to keep your current QuickBooks. Then select Let’s go. QuickBooks downloads, installs, and activates the new version for you. It updates your company file(s).
3. When the upgrade is done, select Open QuickBooks.
