How to restore recently deleted customer

Restoring deleted customers may be quiet tricky in QuickBooks Online (QBO), because once you deleted or marked the customers as inactive, it can't be seen easily in the account.

By going to Customer menu, there's an option on the Gear icon that will show you how to restore deleted customers.

Here's how:

  1. Go to Sales on the left menu and then select Customers.
  2. Click on the Gear icon above the ACTION column.
  3. Tick the Include inactive to show deleted customers.
  4. Lastly, hit the Make active.

this doesn't work for me to restore deleted customers. I don't see any deleted customers with inactive status after doing as you posted.

The steps provided by my colleague above makes your inactive (deleted) customers active again so you can see them. If you followed the steps and they aren't showing up still, my suggestion to you would be to reach out to our support team. This is because they have unique tools such as screen sharing capabilities. Those tools give them everything they need to jump into your account and diagnose whatever your issues are. To reach the support team follow these steps below. 

  1. Sign in to your QuickBooks Online company.
  2. Select Help (?) at the top right.
  3. Select Contact Us to connect with a live support agent.
