I just linked my business credit card and it is only giving 90 days of data. I downloaded a CSV of older transactions but keep getting an error message when I upload.

I even tried editing the columns to make it match the transactions. Anyone have success with this?

It's nice to see you in the QuickBooks Community, Jessica. Allow me to provide some troubleshooting steps so you can upload your bank transactions into QuickBooks Self-Employed (QBSE).

Before doing so, we'd appreciate it if you could specify the error message you've encountered when uploading the CSV file of your bank transactions. This way, we can diagnose the issue and provide the appropriate troubleshooting.

In the meantime, ensure you've chosen the correct columns in the mapping stage. Otherwise, QBSE will be unable to read the data.

You may also need to make extra changes to get your transactions in since not all banks create their CSV files similarly. A few things to look out for are the currency symbols and commas, special characters in the bank description, and the date format.

For more details, please see this article: Common errors for importing bank transactions using CSV in QuickBooks Online.

If the issue persists, let's open your account in an incognito window to rule out the possibility of a browser problem. Please utilize these keyboard shortcuts:

  • For Google Chrome browser: Ctrl + Shift + N
  • For Mozilla Firefox browser: Ctrl + Shift + P
  • For Safari browser: Command + Shift + N

Once resolved, you can return to your original browser to clear its cache or utilize another compatible one. It's possible that it's a temporary issue with QBO or the window you're using.

Furthermore, learn about the Schedule C categories in QBSE and how to categorize your transactions by reading this reference: Schedule C and expense categories in QuickBooks Solopreneur and QuickBooks Self-Employed.

Please don't hesitate to visit us again in the Community forum to ask for further assistance uploading your bank transactions. We'll be more than glad to help you further. Take care, and have a good one.

@jessica-littlemi

You can use one of the converter tools (e.g csv2qbo @ $60 one time license) as a workaround.
