Recurring transactions can set to “reminders” and established with a recurring date. For instance I set reminders for filing 1099’s by 1/31/20 and for filing non profit tax form 990 N by 11/15120 for next year.
I'm wanting to use this for reminder to do something not transaction related. I could create an imaginary journal entry that I don't ever really enter but just skip and go to next reminder. Any other thoughts or suggestions?
Thanks for the response, @CFOPres.
I'm going to submit feedback to our Product Development Team about bringing in a feature that will allow you to have reminders or calendar notifications in QuickBooks Online. You can visit our Blog to see new features for our Products as well as seeing what's coming in the future!
If you have any other questions or concerns, please let me know. Have a beautiful day.

This would be so cool! Instead of using a CRM just add that functionality to QB. I want a calendar reminder for customer files so my sales reps can follow up on leads, set tasks, follow up on shipping, delays, whatever. Just as simple as adding a tab next to the customer details tab that says CALENDAR. In there you can set dates, add notes and set a reminder.
OMG! If you guys could add a tab, in the customer file that says CALENDAR. In there a place to add dates, notes and reminders!! That would be awesome.
Or offer Full CRM functionality and not through an app

If you are running a field service business, consider an additional app to integrate with your QBO. It offers more specific features than a mere task management app.
