Linked WISE account and shows wrong currency in bank balance

My Wise Business account has two accounts - the USD and CAD. But when I linked my Wise Business account to Quickbooks, it automatically sourced my USD as my CAD balance and my other CAD balance into CAD balance.

Example: I have 20k USD balance in my Wise account - when linked, it shows 20k CAD instead.

Please help!

Linked WISE account and shows wrong currency in bank balance

Welcome to Community, Timbit25.

I'm here to share some information about connecting bank accounts in QuickBooks Online.

It's possible that the CAD account is connected to your QuickBooks instead of a USD account. You can disconnect and reconnect with the right bank account. This way QuickBooks will download the appropriate information.

Here are the steps to disconnect your financial institution.

  1. Go to the Banking menu, then select Banking.
  2. Select the blue tile for your incorrect bank account.
  3. Select the pencil ✎ icon to edit the account, then select Edit account info.
  4. Put a checkmark on the Disconnect this account on the save checkbox.
  5. Select Save and close.

Here’s an article for more information: Disconnect or delete an account from the Downloaded Transactions page.

To reconnect your account, feel free to refer to this link: Connect bank and credit card accounts to QuickBooks Online.

After you've downloaded the correct transactions from your financial institution, you can assign and categorize them to make sure your books are accurate.

Feel free to drop a comment below if you have additional questions about banking. The Community Team always got your back.
