Hi there, @phillip-selleh.
Thanks for joining us here in the Community. I'm here to help you get past the missing scrollbar issue that you encounter and get you back to business.
When you encounter unexpected behavior in QuickBooks, it's recommended to try browser troubleshooting. You can try switching to another browser to verify if the issue is browser related.
Here are the different keyboard shortcuts to open a private browser:
If it works fine, you can go back to your regular browser and clear its cache. Cache is stored in order to speed up loading times, but this can impact processes and cause them to not work.
For additional information on this and steps for supported browsers, please visit the following link: How Do I Clear My Browser Cache And Temporary Internet files?
If the issue persists after trying these steps, I'd suggest giving our Customer Care Team a call. They can an pull up your account in a secure environment and has specialized tools to assist with connectivity.
Please don't hesitate to post any questions that you may have. Have a great weekend!

Still doesn't answer the question....no bottom scroll bar in Firefox or in chrome and the tips are useless. The assumption that QBOE is programmed correctly is flawed. There are so many bugs that it is worse than mosquitoes on a summer night in a South Carolina swamp. The old version of QBOE was streamlined and efficient, but this new "facebook" version is graphics heavy and poorly programmed.......
This is not the impression we want you to experience using QuickBooks Online (QBO), pixidoc.
I'll personally share your feedback with our Customer Support Team regarding the Facebook version graphics. We'll be able to take action on improving this one. I appreciate you for performing the troubleshooting solutions provided by my colleagues.
Aside from the steps provided, let's try to zoom in and out of the browser to show the scroll bar. Let me show you how:

I am a little bit surprised that something so fundamental to an online application - the ability to use a scroll bar - has been given so little attention.
Are you seriously telling me that your engineers haven't been able to figure this out in over a year? What in the world have they been focusing on instead?
This is frustrating. Your tip about zooming the browser does not work. It's unclear to me how contacting you will change anything. If you had a reliable workaround, you would surely share it in this forum. Please prioritize this fix. It's been over two years!
Agree. quite frustrating. Its August 2022 and the qbonline scroll bar on my Lenovo laptop on Chrome is so thin its driving me nuts. Other things should drive me nuts, not a scroll bar
davebush is exactly right. I can zoom in and out or open a private window over and over again, and nothing changes.
Also, the behavior is different in different parts of QBO!
- in Dashboard, Sales, Customers/Leads, Cash Flow, Accounting, Capital, Apps and Insurance, the scroll bar is on the extreme right edge of the browser window, and very skinny (wish I could measure the pixels!)
- in Banking and Reports, the scroll bar is indented inward a half-inch or so, even cutting off half of the last column, and is still very skinny.
When I refresh the screen, the scroll bar is wide again! HOWEVER, on changing to just 3-4 different left-bar options (e.g., Banking to Sales to Expenses), the scroll bar is skinny again! Unreasonably skinny! My attention is entirely diverted from what I was doing, and is focused now on getting the scroll bar to move! Zooming in and out doesn't help, but refreshing the screen does, again. Maybe that's the solution - just keep refreshing the screen every minute or two.
This seems like an issue similar to Column Widths. Issues that just shouldn't be.

I just spoke with Philip - wonderful representative that truly tried his hardest to help but in the end we STILL cannot find the Overlay Scrollbar on my chromebook inside a customer's profile. With this newest upgrade that happened, it has basically rendered my chromebook useless. Has anyone been able to fix this problem since the June 5th upgrade and if so HOW?
Hey there, @GPRLLC211.
Thank you for joining the conversation and sharing your experience. I'm here to provide additional steps to help resolve your concern in QuickBooks.
If you're experiencing issues with a cut-off page or missing scroll bar in QuickBooks Online, please follow these steps:
First, check your browser's zoom settings.
For Mozilla Firefox
For Google Chrome
If you're still getting the same results, check the computer's display settings. QuickBooks Online requires the following settings for proper display:
We recommend that you maximize the browser window for working in QuickBooks Online, particularly if your resolution is 1024x768.
To check these settings on Windows 7:
For more detailed troubleshooting steps, you can refer to this article: Unable to see the entire page in QuickBooks Online.
On the other hand, you can also check some references in QBO on the main support page should you need them in the future. Just select the said product and click More topics.
I'll be right here to continue assisting if you have any other concerns or product questions. Assistance is just a post away. Have an awesome day ahead, @GPRLLC211.
Unfortunately none of this worked - all settings are to what you explained. So frustrating! This should be addressed immediately. I cannot be the ONLY QB client to have this happen to during the last upgrade.
