My session has expired? What does that mean I cannot back up

I got you cover, edrosesales@aol..

To verify, are you using Intuit Data Protect? If so, you'll need to sign out of the application and sign back in to resolve the error. Let me walk you through how.

  1. In your company file, go to File at the top and then select Back Up Company.
  2. Choose Setup/Activate Online Backup. You can also access IDP from the System Tray, find and right-click the IDP icon (green padlock) and pick Open Intuit Data Protect.
  3. Hit Sign out in the Intuit Data Protect window.
  4. Read the Learn how to sign into Intuit Data Protect, and ensure that you sign into Intuit Data Protect using the displayed email or user ID.

    Sign Out 2

  5. Hit OK. You are now signed out of Intuit Data Protect. The sign in screen will appear with the email or user ID auto-populated.
  6. Enter the password and click Sign In. After you are signed in, IDP will be set up with your existing preferences. Follow the on-screen steps to complete the setup.

Once done, IDP is now ready for you to access earlier backups and make new backups.

I'm also adding these links below to guide you along the way. It has step-by-step instructions that'll help you fix errors when using IDP.

However if you're not using IDP, you'll want to configure your Window firewall settings and create a backup again.

You can also browse this link here if you need help with other tasks in QBDT.

Please don't hesitate to reach out to me if you still have questions or concerns with the program. I'm always here to help. Take care and stay safe.
