QB Pro 2020 loops with An Update Is Waiting (it has already been installed)

I have QB Pro 2018 and QB Pro 2020 on the same machine. I recently updated both of them. The QB2018 update when fine. When I did the QB 2020 update, it went thru normally, but QB2020 restarted after the update, and went right to the message of an update is waiting for you, choose Install Now or Install Later. When I click Install Now, it shows first Quickbooks Update 30.0 (I think). Then it shows Installing Quickbooks Update 0%, and another window showing Update Complete, with an OK button. When I click OK, it restarts QB 2020, and goes right back to the Install Now / Install Later choice.

It is like it thinks there is an update still, but the update is finished. Is there some way to tell it that there isn't an update waiting (a registry key I can delete, or a file I can change)?

Thank you.

QB Pro 2020 loops with An Update Is Waiting (it has already been installed)

Good day, tmol.

It's great to know that you're able to update your QuickBooks Desktop already. We can repair it to fix and remove the pop-up. You can follow these steps:

  1. Go to the Windows Start menu, then select Control Panel.
  2. Select Programs and Features then Uninstall a Program.
  3. Click QuickBooks, then Uninstall/Change. Select Continue, or Next.
  4. Hit Repair, then Next.
  5. Once it's done, select Finish.
