QB2009

I got a new computer.  It does not have a disc drive.  I got an external drive and finally got my old QB2009 disc uploaded, but now because there are not any updates the disc vs is old and my saved files from my old computer were the latest vs of QB2009.  I can Not get the newly uploaded vs of QB 2009 on my new computer to recognized or accept my old saved files.  It wants to me to create a new company and register, which are additional headaches.  

How can I use the QB2009 program on my USB to update the unupdated vs of QB2009 recently installed on my new computer?

Let me help with your question about updating the software. QuickBooks 2019 is an old and discontinued version of the software. Please know that updates are no longer available once a product is already discontinued.
