QuickBooks 2022 Database Manager Missing

We run a QuickBooks server with QB 2014-2021 Enterprise. This year I noticed that when I was done with the install, My QuickBooks database manager stopped at 2021. There was no 2022.

I am able to perform a multi user connection, but I am concerned about not seeing the connection status under the Database Server status.

We are waiting to go live with QB 2022.  I need help from QuickBooks support ASAP.

Thanks

QuickBooks 2022 Database Manager Missing

Hello there, VCIT.

You can uninstall your database server manager, rename the installation folder, and then reinstall the server manager again. Let me walk you through the process.

  1. On your keyboard, press the Windows key + R.
  2. Tyoe appwiz.cpl in the Run dialog box and then OK.
  3. Select the QuickBooks Database Server Manager. Then, Uninstall/Change.

Next, rename the installation folder by following these steps.

  1. Go to your installation folder location (Example: C:\Program Files\Common Files\Intuit).
  2. Press Windows key + on your keyboard.
  3. Copy and paste the location of the folder, then Enter.
  4. Right-click the folder, and choose Rename. Rename the folder to .OLD.

Once done, reinstall QuickBooks Database Server Manager.

With these steps, you'll be able to keep your data server back up and running. You might also want to check your firewall and antivirus permissions to make sure you give your server manager permission to run on your server computer.

We also have a guide on resolving network issues that I'm sure you'll find helpful. Here are the links:

You can keep us updated after trying the steps. We're just around to help you.

QuickBooks 2022 Database Manager Missing

If I uninstall the current Database Manager, and reinstall, will I still list all the versions of QuickBooks that have been installed?

This is a CPA business, and they need all the different versions of QuickBooks working.

Thanks for your help.

QuickBooks 2022 Database Manager Missing

Hello, VCIT.

The QuickBooks Database Server Manager is required when setting up the company file on a multi-user network. After you install the Database Server Manager, you need to scan your company files. Once you scan them, you can access your company files from other computers on your network. This lets you and users on your network work together in QuickBooks Desktop from multiple computers.

For more insights, feel free to check out this article: Install QuickBooks Database Server Manager.

In addition, let me attach this resource to help you on how to host your company files over a network with Database Server Manager in QuickBooks Desktop: Use QuickBooks Database Server Manager.

Feel at ease to get back to this thread if you have other concerns reinstalling QuickBooks products. I'll be around to assist you again. Keep safe and healthy always.
