The error message that you're getting has already been reported to our product engineers, harrisonburgepox.
They've started their investigation to get a permanent fix. Though, the error won't affect your data conversion.
To receive updates on this, I recommend reaching out to our QuickBooks Support Team. They'll be able to add you to the list of affected users.

I did do the 30 day free trial on the Mac QB Desktop '20 version and that actually worked. It allowed me to bring my info over. Then, after having tried it a number of times, I had 5 copies of every customer, item, you name it. After thinking I was going to have to start all over - and in the middle of a very large job, I only had evening to try to figure it out. Then I found the refresh button - and it cleared 95% of it out. So, that was nice.
Still tweaking things but thank you for that suggestion.
