Conversion from sage 100

I have a client looking to convert from Sage 100 to QBO.  I am getting really mixed direction.  What is the best way to do this?  They have their sage 100 on a server located in their office.

Conversion from sage 100

I’d be happy to help you and your client in converting their Sage 100 to QuickBooks Online (QBO), @ipar.

Let me share with you some details that you can also provide to your clients. QBO processes historical data from Sage 100. However, your client can only import the following information:

  • Customer
  • Vendors
  • Products and services
  • Accounts

To begin with, you’ll want to advise your client to export their Sage 100 data into a .CSV (Comma Separated Values) or XLS/XLSX file formats. This way, they’ll be able to import the data to QBO seamlessly.

Once ready, you can share these articles that can guide them through the complete process. Ensure to have them follow the spreadsheet in this order to import the data correctly.

I’m also adding this article that tackles more about importing data in QBO: Common questions about importing data to QuickBooks Online.

Let me know if you have any other concerns importing data to QBO. I'll be around to assist you. Keep safe.

To self import JE in bulk, you may need an importer tool as I mentioned earlier
