I had 2020 desktop pro downloaded on 11/18/19. I used it yesterday. I did not make a backup and now I can not open my company file

Hi jeannebazinet,

 

Let me help you and guide you on how to open your company file.

 

We can start our troubleshooting by pressing the CTRL key while clicking on the QuickBooks icon. 

  1. Press and hold the CTRL key and click on the QuickBooks icon.
  2. Hold on the key until the No Company Open window will open.
  3. Click the company file, then click Open. Make sure to log in as Admin in QuickBooks.

If you're still unable to open your file, you can run QuickBooks File Doctor. This tool fixes QuickBooks integrated errors.
