I just want to BUY a copy of QuickBooks Pro 2024. Can someone PLEASE point me in the right direction?

@Laurence5905  You can probably still buy Enterprise, but that and QBO are about it as far as offerings from Intuit themselves.

Within the last year or two, it was decided that only current US customers will be able to purchase most Desktop products going forward. I'm doubtful that a standalone purchase from that far back counts. This is part of their efforts to phase out Desktop one piece at a time.

At best, you might try calling their sales number above and seeing if you get lucky. You should have your QB information handy, account # and all that.

The problem seems to be that she doesn't currently *SUBSCRIBE* to QuickBooks Pro 2018.  It was a standalone purchase.

So how do we get the salespeople to recognize this and stop transferring her to the Enterprise sales department?  She just wants to purchase another standalone product, not subscribe to anything...

Did your wife tried to reinstall her QB Desktop 2018 license to a new PC?

I am in the same boat as @Laurence5905 . I got as far as closing all companies in my standalone QBDesktop Pro2018 version and clicking on "File" in the upper left corner. I selected "Utilities" from the pull-down menu but "Migrate to a new computer" is grey, not black and will therefore not allow me to use that command. Is there any other way to move an old version of QB to a new computer?  I in not in a position financially to support an ongoing subscription. I also agree with @Laurence5905 that OWNING the desktop standalone version is the goal for me. 

I am currently trying to do the same as @Laurence5905. When I closed all of my companies on my QB Desktop Pro 2018 and click on "File" in the upper left corner, then click "Utilities", the "Move Quickbooks to another computer" is gray and will therefore not allow me to use this command to move my program over to my new computer. 

You’ll need to be the company admin when moving your QuickBooks Desktop 2018 to another computer to ensure all options are accessible, @LD1561.

When transferring your file to another device, be sure to consider the following:

1. Signed in as the Company Admin. You can review the roles and permissions on the file to verify.
2. You must have a US version of QuickBooks Desktop 2018 or newer.
3. Ensure no company files are open; all users should be signed out, as the Migrator Tool only works for single-user mode.

Don't use the migration tool. Install QB on your new PC, create a backup file (*.qbb) on your old PC and restore it on the new one. Any error message?

QuickBooks Desktop isn't available to new subscribers in the United States. The deadline to purchase a new subscription was September 30, 2024. Intuit made a decision that after September 30, 2024, to stop selling new subscriptions of the following products:

• QuickBooks Desktop Pro Plus
• QuickBooks Desktop Premier Plus
• QuickBooks Desktop Mac Plus
• QuickBooks Desktop Enhanced Payroll

This change doesn't impact existing subscribers. Existing QuickBooks Desktop Plus and Desktop Payroll subscribers can continue to renew their subscriptions after September 30, 2024*. We'll continue to provide security updates, product updates, and support for existing subscribers. QuickBooks Desktop Enterprise products are not impacted by this change and customers can continue to purchase Enterprise subscriptions after September 30, 2024.

Which QB Desktop year version do you have now?

Extreme price gouging to force people to use the less expensive online version so Intuit has access to all of the accounts. Does intuit share the information with the government?

2018.  Which still works, surprisingly.  For now...

I can still run QB Desktop 2018 and other older versions on Win 11 Home to support my clients with non-subscription licenses without any issues.

I too wanted to buy QBD Pro 2024 and this is the official response as of today. (Not being sold.)

You don't need QB Payroll, correct? You should contact @Fiat Lux - ASIA by email directly and if you are lucky you can still find a genuine subscription license of QB Desktop 2024 Pro Plus/Premier Plus/Mac Plus.
