importing from desktop

If I imported all of my company info from the desktop version a couple months ago, can I do it again to update it?  I imported everything to online but I was too busy to figure out how to use the online system and had to keep using desktop.  So I have still been entering all of my invoicing, payments, etc. on desktop only.  If I import to online again will I have doubles of all the info that I already imported?

importing from desktop

Good morning, @Pland

You can reimport the data again. If you reimport data more than once, it will overwrite any existing data. I've included some steps to move your data below.

  1. Sign in as an admin to the company file you need to import.
  2. Go to Company, then select Export Company File to QuickBooks Online.
  3. Select Start your export.
  4. Sign in as an admin to your QuickBooks Online company.
  5. Click on Choose online company, and choose the QuickBooks Online company you want to replace with your company file.
  6. Tap Continue.
  7. If you track inventory in QuickBooks Desktop:
  8. Enter Agree in the text field, then select Replace.
  9. Click Yes, go ahead and replace the data, then select Replace.

For additional information about moving data from Desktop to Online, feel free to check out the help articles I've included below.

Don't hesitate to let me know if you have any questions or concerns. Take care, and have a great day!

@Pland

You can't purge your QBO account after 60 days. You should signup for a new account and cancel the old one instead.
