Let me give you some basic troubleshooting steps that will help you process your 1099 in QuickBooks Desktop.
When experiencing data issues we recommend verifying and rebuild data to fix common issues within the company file. Before you get started, make sure to back up your company file.
Here’s how.
- Go to the File.
- Select Utilities and then, click Verify Data.
Once done, use rebuilds data utility.
- Select File, followed by Utilities option, and then Rebuild Data.
- A pop-up message stating backup of the file is needed will occur. Click on the OK.
- Once the message stating Rebuild process is complete, click on the OK button.
- Run the Verify Data tool in order to find out if there are any more data damage errors left. Select File, followed by Utilities option, and then Verify Data.
- Once the rebuild finished, select OK.
