I have QB Plus Premier 2022. Initially, I installed it on a fresh new Dell Inspiron running Windows 11. It was a total disaster - freezing constantly and running print scripts. My business was paralyzed for a week. I had a long discussion with technical support and tried every known fix. Nothing worked.
Eventually, I de-installed and moved the installation over to an old raspberry pi Zotac running windows 10. It seems (fingers crossed) to be stable. I'm clawing my way back to get my business caught up.
My question is when a stable version of QB22 will be available for Windows 11. I'm not asking for the marketing answer here. I need the TRUE technical response. Feel free to email me if your team can't answer this publicly. I cannot use the online version because my business needs to be ISO/ITAR-compliant and my documentation requires a great deal of customization in each order that is not available in online QB.
Thank you.

It's my goal to get this working for you. Freezing issues in QuickBooks Desktop can be fixed by downloading the QuickBooks Tool Hub. This tool is designed to automatically diagnose and fix common issues within the software.
Below are the instructions on how to do it:
To ensure the components are properly updated, please restart the computer after running the tool.
You can refer to this article for a complete guide on the process of fixing freezing issues within the software : QuickBooks Desktop won't open, has stopped working, or not responding.
Additionally, here's a link that will help you learn more about how the product works: Help articles for QuickBooks Desktop.
Be sure to get back to me if you have follow-up questions. I'm always happy to help. Have a good day!
Thanks very much.
The Hub was my first attempt to fix the situation. Then I tried every possible fix published (renaming files, de-install/er-install, etc). I spent two hours with a support person who couldn't come up with an alternative. What "worked" was to put the software on a windows 10 machine.
The answer is a code fix.
Is there a date scheduled for an updated rev with windows 11 specifically addressed? This is likely a question for Product Management. I truly hope that have it roadmapped by now. I'm not the only customer struggling.
Thanks
Hi. My name is Martin, and I used to work along with Intuit on their U.S. Quickbooks Desktop technical support team around the time when Windows 10 was fairly new. Each time a new version of Windows comes out, a lot of software, not just Quickbooks, have problems because they are designed for certain systems. Intuit may be working hard right now to get desktop to work with Windows 11 just like they did with Windows 10. I would check the System Requirements on the website to see if they have updated them with Windows 11. Until then, using it with Windows 10 is your best bet.
This tool says it is only fixing Windows 10 problems with print/PDF. I have run it multiple times and it does not fix the problems I am having.
Hello there, @PCH3.
I understand you're experiencing printing and PDF issues with QuickBooks 2022 on Windows 11, and it’s challenging that the troubleshooting tool seems to focus only on Windows 10. Let’s explore a few steps you can take to address these problems.
Ensure that both QuickBooks and Windows are fully updated. Sometimes issues are resolved in the latest patches or updates. In QuickBooks, go to Help and select Update QuickBooks Desktop.
After that, run the latest QuickBooks Print & Repair Tool from the QuickBooks Tool Hub. Download the most recent version (1.6.0.5) of the QuickBooks Tool Hub. Save the file somewhere you can easily find it (like your Downloads folder or your Windows desktop).
Follow these steps to troubleshoot:
If the issue persists, I recommend restarting your computer and resetting your temp folder permissions. Temporary files can cause hindrance to any software, and we need to clean it frequently. You may also need to consult a computer professional in doing these steps to complete the process efficiently. Here's how:
For more detailed steps and procedures, feel free to visit this article: Fix PDF and Print problems with QuickBooks Desktop.
After fixing the printing issues in your QBDT, you can also consider creating and printing a packing slip in QuickBooks Desktop.
If you have any further questions or need additional assistance, feel free to ask! I'll be more than happy to assist you.
To resolve the PDF issue, search at the bottom of your Windows 11 screen for "run." Then open the "Run App" that came up under your search and type "optionalfeatures" into the Run App. A "Windows Features" window then opens and scrolls down to "Microsoft XPS Document Writer" and checks the box next to it. then pressed "OK". You should be able to start creating PDF Invoices again.
