I'm here to help you fix this, proimageamerica.
Data is the most important aspect of every business. Being able to backup your files guarantees that you have a copy of them in case accidental data loss happens. Mishandling of backup sequence is usually the cause of the error message "Backup failed". You might have, for example, accidentally pressed the Cancel button. It's also possible that the location lacks sufficient space or the data in your file has been corrupted.
Let's check if the location has enough space. If so, you can run Verify Data to fix some minor issues and ensure that your file is free of any data damaged.
Here's how:
- Click the Help under the Main menu.
- When the Help menu opens, choose About Point-of-Sale.
- The QuickBooks Point-of-Sale information window appears. In order to access the Verify utility, you must press CTRL + ALT + D and B keys simultaneously.
- After depressing all 4 keys nothing may appear, however, a change is actually taking place at the backside of QuickBooks Point-of-Sale.
- Close the Point-of-Sale information window and go back to Help, then About Point-of-Sale.
- You will now see a Debug option at the bottom of the Help drop-down. If the debug menu still not appearing, try to press again CTRL + ALT + D and B keys simultaneously.
- From the Debug menu, choose the option to Verify Data.
- You will the message " Validation completed successfully" if there's no error.
- If verify return any message, you can run QuickBooks Point-of-sale Clean-up Company Data Utility.
