Join nowDoes QuickBooks Pro 2024 support ARM64 machine?
We installed in on ARM64 machine and when opening a local company file. We get Problem Connection to Server Error: -6123,0. And this issue only occurs on ARM64 machine. On AMD64 machine, it works fine.
We have tried ways on this doc but problem still persists:
So we want to confirm if QuickBooks Pro 2024 is not imcompatible with ARM64 machine?
I appreciate you reaching out here today, WeiCai. Let me provide insight when utilizing QuickBooks Pro 2024 on an ARM64 machine.
In QuickBooks, running the program requires specific system requirements to ensure the compatibility of the software and your overall business operations. For QuickBooks Pro 2024, this would work for operating systems like:
With this, it's best to make sure the software meets the system requirements needed to successfully run QuickBooks.

We have tried the way mentioned in How to fix Error 6123, 0. document. Run QuickFix my Program didn't resolve this issue. Run File Doctor is hanging on checking the file for about 12 hours but it still running. How long will it take?
Actually, the file that we cannot open is "Sample_Pro.qbw" file, which is downloaded from QuickBooks 2024.
We appreciate your patience in troubleshooting your company file, Wei. I'm here to provide additional information about the system requirements of QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT) 2024.
Just to clarify, is your QBDT file saved on an external or network storage device? If it is, I recommend transferring it to your local drive and running the QuickFix my Program once again.
If it's already in your local drive upon running the QuickFix my Program, I suggest contacting our support team for them to further assist you in fixing the error. They have the tools to help you further in doing the troubleshooting. Please use the phone number in the Need help getting in touch? section of this article: Contact QuickBooks Desktop support.
Additionally, please refer to this article for helpful info about the operating system, hardware, software, and other requirements to run QuickBooks Desktop 2024: System requirements for QuickBooks Desktop 2024.
Please return to this thread if you have further concerns about QBDT compatibility. We're here to help you.
Thanks for your quick reply.
My file is already on local disk.
For the system requirement, it only mentioned 64-bit/all 64-bit. Is this contains ARM64? Or only AMD64?
Thank you for your follow-up question, Wei.
Regarding your inquiry, please know that both ARM64 and AMD64 architectures satisfy the 64-bit requirement to run QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT) Pro 2024. While AMD64 (x64) is more commonly used, ARM64 is also capable of running the software thanks to its 64-bit architecture.
However, if you are experiencing issues or errors while running QBDT on an ARM64 system, I suggest contacting our support team for further assistance. They have the specialized tools and expertise to help you troubleshoot and resolve any problems you encounter.
If you're using QBDT for Mac, please refer to this article for the steps on contacting our support: Contact QuickBooks Desktop support. The article also includes our support hours.
