When trying to install the Windows desktop application to us with Quickbooks Online, the installer just sits and spins and won't get to the license acceptance page. If the application is widely used a install issue like that should rarely occur.

To be able to install the QuickBooks Windows app seamlessly, you have to ensure that your system is supported and meets the requirements. The supported operating systems for the Windows app are (Windows 10, 8.1, and 7).

I had already read the installation article and would not have posted the question if the installation had run as designed. The system requirements are not the issue and your suggestion is very broad in response to my specific issue.
I am running Windows 10 and when opened , the installer just spins, never reaching the license acceptance page. Maybe you or someone else can offer a more specific response to the issue.

Thanks for updating us and trying the steps in that article. Our QuickBooks Online Desktop App for Windows uses the Visual C++ packages and drivers from Windows. I recommend reaching out to Microsoft to make sure those are up-to-date on your PC. Alternatively, you can also get in touch with our QuickBooks Online Support Team and they can take a visual approach to make sure everything is in order for the installation.
