Allow me to chime in and help you get past this issue.
Technically, the 2016 version you're using should not cause any display issues as it is still a supported desktop edition. To get the best QuickBooks performance, you'll need to make sure it is updated and follows our recommended system requirements.
Here's the recommended screen resolution for QuickBooks Desktop 2016:
Display optimized for 1024 x 768 screen resolution or higher with up to 2 Extended monitors.
Best optimized for Default DPI setting (96 DPI or 100%).
Medium DPI (120 DPI or 110%) is supported to ensure an optimal experience for 110% scaling.
If you're still getting the same issue after verifying your display settings, I would suggest getting in touch with one of our phone support. They have the resources to help you configure your DPI settings in a secure environment.
