Trying to reconnect AMEX Serve account since 12/16/19. Keep getting message the connection isn't available & to try again later. Has anyone else experienced this problem?

I've been getting error message 102 (something is wrong with the banks website) for weeks. Should I assume AMEX Serve is no longer an available bank to connect with Quickbooks?

I've checked our records and haven't seen any open cases same as yours, Jodi7. AMEX Serve should be connecting without any issues.

Error 102 means that your bank's website is having technical issues or undergoing maintenance. Sign in to your financial institution's website and check for any messages or notifications. If you're able to log in without any issues, let's go back to QuickBooks Self-Employed, and reconnect it.

This error also occurs if your account is new. Some bank doesn't work with Online Banking right away. To identify if this is the issue, you'll want to reach out to your bank.

If you're still unable to connect, I'd suggest reaching out to our customer care support. This way, an agent will help you with the re-connection. Here's how:

  1. Click Assistant inside QuickBooks Self-Employed.
  2. Enter "Talk to a human"
  3. Select either Message an agent, Call an gent, or Get a callback

In the meantime, you can import bank transactions using CSV file
