I'm here to help you get the data that you need, thomas33.
The Internal Revenue Service (IRS) can provide you with copies of your tax returns from the most recent seven tax years. You can request copies by preparing Form 4506 and attaching a payment of $50 for each one.
Once the IRS receives your request, it can take up to 60 days for the agency to process it. If you filed your taxes with a TurboTax CD/download product, your tax return is stored on your computer.
For the 1040 form, you can print a copy for free at any time by logging into your TurboTax account. You can contact our TurboTax Team to help you get the form.
Meanwhile, QuickBooks Self-Employed (QBSE) lets you download the tax summary or details to see your estimated taxes. It includes the tax payments you've made in the system.
Please know that tax calculations are based on your income, expenses, projections, and tax profile. To get a copy of the data, please follow the steps I've outlined below.
For your QBSE account, I'm adding this link that covers all the information about the process: Pay federal estimated quarterly taxes in QuickBooks Self-Employed.
Keep me posted if you still need help with printing a copy of your tax returns in QBSE. I’m more than happy to assist further. Enjoy the rest of the day.
I am trying to get a copy of my W-2 forms from when I was employed for you guys anyway possible you could help me
Thanks for chiming in on this thread, Shiela. You can access your W-2 forms in the QuickBooks Workforce, and I'll be happy to guide you on how.
Since a W-2 form is a document that contains information about an employee's wages and taxes, it appears that you are using QuickBooks Online (QBO) or QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT) since this is unavailable in QuickBooks Self-Employed.
If your employer has invited you to QuickBooks Workforce and you've completed the account setup, you may view and print your W-2 from there. To do that:
Otherwise, you may reach out to your employer and have them invite you to QuickBooks Workforce. I'll attach the article, depending on your employer's QuickBooks subscription, to guide them on how:
Furthermore, you can run reports in QuickBooks to get an overview of your payroll taxes, wages, and contributions. Doing so ensures accurate data during the tax filing.
Please don't hesitate to swing by the Community whenever you have further concerns about obtaining your payroll forms. I'm always available to address your queries. Take care, and have a good one!
