We’ve recently updated our QuickBooks Desktop Enterprise 2023 to R5 which was successful as usual but despite being updated to the newest R5 version, each time a user opens QuickBooks, it says either “updating QuickBooks” OR “A critical QuickBooks update is waiting for installation. To install, close all the running instances of QuickBooks and restart the one you are using currently”.
I looked at a workstation this morning and tried the following, but nothing seemed to work.
-Opening QB as administrator
-Renaming the QBchan.dat file in following path “C:\Users\All Users\Intuit\QuickBooks Enterprise Solutions 23.0\Components\QBUpdate\”
-Ran the QuickBooks tool hub repair full repair
When I press F2, it shows it’s already on the newest build R5. Never had this happen before. Any ideas? Users can just click OK and it opens and functions just fine but I’d like to get rid of the prompt.
