Updating Quickbooks Pro 2009 to Quickbooks Desktop 2021

Thank you for reaching out to us here on the Community page, Luchaway.

Let me share some information that can help you with your files.

If you have a 2009 version of QuickBooks Desktop Pro, you'll need to upgrade to the closer version before 2021 to avoid file damage. You can do this by getting the trial versions of 2012, 2015, and 2018

To help you enhance from QuickBooks Desktop 2009 to 2021, I highly recommend reaching out to our technical support team. This way, they can guide you on the process of upgrading your QuickBooks. They can also provide you the trial license. To connect with them, please follow these easy steps:

  1. Select the Help menu.
  2. Choose QuickBooks Desktop Help.
  3. Hit Contact us
  4. Enter Upgrade from QuickBooks 2009 to 2021, in the Tell us more about your question box.
  5. Click Search.
  6. Choose  either Call us or Message us.

For more details, please see this article: Upgrade to newer versions of QuickBooks Desktop Pro Plus, Premier Plus, or Enterprise.

Once the upgrade is done, you'll now need to boost your company files so you can use them on the newer version of QuickBooks. To get started, head to the Upgrade your company files after you switch to a new version of QuickBooks Desktop page at this link.

If you have other concerns, please don't hesitate to leave a message in the comment section. I'm always around here in the Community to help. Keep safe, and have a good day.
