1099 e-file process won't complete using QBO with Chrome. Second tab opens, receive error message "Site Temporarily Not Available", "Service Unavailable". Why?

I'm trying to e-file both 1099-NEC and 1099-misc.

Let me first welcome you here in the Community, tracy-humes-newt.

 

As of now, we have an ongoing investigation (INV-53755) about being unable to e-file 1099s. We recommend contacting our QuickBooks Support Team so you'll be added as one of the affected users.

 

Here's how:
 

  1. Go to the Help menu.
  2. Select Talk to a human.
  3. Type in INV-53755 in the Type something field.
  4. Click the send icon.
  5. Choose I still need a human.
  6. Click Contact Us.
  7. Select the Send a message button.
  8. Enter the necessary details, then click Continue.

 

After that, you'll receive an email update once the issue is already resolved.

 

You can check your e-file status by visiting this article: Create and file 1099s using QuickBooks Online. Then, scroll down to Step 5: Check your filing status.

Thank you very much for your reply. I tried the Help Menu solution, but my help menu does not contain the choices you list. The closest I come is to a live chat.

 

Here is a second question: Our company chose to e-file because we are on lockdown in our county and working from home. The e-file option is the best way to get 1099's to our vendors in a timely manner since it is difficult to go into the office and print 1099 forms. Will this issue with INV-53755 be resolved soon? In time so that we can e-file and meet the end of month deadline? Thank you.
