1099 NEC Printing

I have QBOnline. I am printing the 1099 NEC forms. I have my subcontractors all set up with their name and company below that name. My problem is that only the first line prints on the 1099 NEC. For example this is what has been printing on the 1099 MISC forms but now only Sally Smith prints in the name field:

Sally Smith

Smith House Cleaning LLC

I have them set up to track payments and last year on the 1099 MISC forms both lines printed in the name area. Why does the company NOT print on the 1099 NEC form?

What can I do to fix the printing issue?

Help would be appreciated.

1099 NEC Printing

LEt's perform some troubleshooting steps to print your 1099 NEC, Linda139.

QuickBooks Online (QBO) follows the preferences set in your browser when printing reports. Let's check your browser's printer settings to make sure that they are set up correctly. You can also seek help from an IT professional in doing this one to ensure that it’s working well. If the problem is not with the printer, you can perform some troubleshooting steps for your PDF. Let me show you how:

  1. Open a local PDF file saved on your computer.
  2. Print the local PDF.

If you’re able to print the local PDF, then you’ll also be able to successfully print your 1096 NEC form. Then, make sure you updated your Adobe Reader. To learn more about this one, see the Test Sequence for PDF Printing Issues article.

If the same thing happens, try signing in to your QuickBooks Online (QBO) account using a private or incognito window. This mode doesn't use the existing cache data and helps us confirm browser-related issues. Here's how:

  • For Google Chrome browser: Ctrl + Shift + N
  • For Mozilla Firefox browser: Ctrl + Shift + P
  • For Safari browser: Command + Option + P

If it works, go back to your regular browser and clear the cache to delete those temporarily stored files and browsing history. The overtime collection of data can create corruption, however, removing this should fix the issue. You can also use other supported, up-to-date browsers to roll out the possibility of a browser-related issue.

Feel free to visit the Tax forms page for more insight about managing tax forms in QBO.

I'd like to know how you get on after trying the steps, as I want to ensure this is resolved for you. Just reply to this post and I'll get back to you, Take care always.
